Finale of Interschool Healthy Rap Contest 2012 to be held on Saturday
************************************************************

Members of the public are invited to attend and watch the live performance of the six finalists in the Finale of the Interschool Healthy Rap Contest 2012, which will be held at 2.30pm on Saturday (April 13) at the Event Hall, UG/F, Citywalk 2, Tsuen Wan.

The Interschool Healthy Rap Contest 2012, jointly organised by the Office for Film, Newspaper and Article Administration (OFNAA), Commercial Radio 2 and the Hong Kong Evangelical Church School Services Team, is being held to promote understanding of the Control of Obscene and Indecent Articles Ordinance (COIAO) among young people, and to remind them to stay away from unhealthy information.

A total of 65 teams from 30 primary and secondary schools enrolled in the contest. Participants could enter the contest either as individuals or in teams. They could choose to sing the theme song written for the contest, write their own song, or compile new lyrics for an old melody.

A judging panel, comprising famous artist Mr Hanjin Tan and representatives of the organisers, will select a champion and two runners-up from the six finalists, as well as a best lyrics award winner.

Mr Tan, together with Robynn & Kendy and Mr Jonathan Wong, will perform at the Finale.

Members of the public can also watch the live broadcast of the Finale at the following website: www.my903.com/my903/ofnaa_2012.¡@

Each year, OFNAA organises a wide range of public education programmes to enhance the public's understanding of the COIAO and encourage young people to avoid objectionable information by developing healthy online habits. These programmes include the Healthy Mobile Phone/Tablet Apps Nomination Programme, the Meritorious Websites Contest, the Healthy Internet Video Contest, the Healthy Information Student Ambassadors Scheme, a roving educational drama programme for schools, drawing and colouring competitions, radio dramas, and talks on the proper use of the Internet and filtering software for students and parents.
