Police are investigating a traffic accident in Wong Tai Sin today (April 6) in which a 52-year-old woman was killed.
At about 1.22pm, a light goods lorry driven by a 52-year-old man reportedly knocked down the 52-year-old woman when it reversed outside the Ngau Chi Wan Village Refuse Collection Point at Lung Chi Path.
The woman was rolled over by the light goods lorry and was trapped under it. She was rescued by firemen. Sustaining serious head injuries, she was certified dead at scene.
The light goods lorry driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is being detained for enquiries.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East, are underway.
