***********************************************************

Police are anxious to locate the next of kin of a baby girl who was abandoned in North Point on March 30.

About 6.25pm on that day, a 39-year-old woman made a report to the Police that a non-ethnic Chinese (NEC) woman requested her to take care of a NEC baby girl at Victoria Park at about 9am on the same day and then went missing.

The baby girl is about one-week old, standing about 51 centimetres tall, 3kg in weight. She is of round face, and has black hair and dark brown eyes. She was wearing a long sleeved pink baby suit and carried no identity document.

She had no apparent injury and was sent to Tuen Mun Hospital for examinations.

Police urged the relatives of the baby girl or anyone who has information to offer to contact the investigating officers on 2595 2268 or Chai Wan Police Station on 2595 2213.
