SJ to visit Singapore

     The Secretary for Justice, Mr Rimsky Yuen, SC, will visit Singapore on April 2 and 3 to promote Hong Kong as a legal services hub and a dispute resolution centre in the Asia Pacific Region, and to enhance ties with Singapore's legal sector.

     He will meet with the representatives of the Singapore Mediation Centre and the Singapore International Arbitration Centre to learn about the latest developments of dispute resolution services in Singapore.

     Mr Yuen will also meet with Singapore's Attorney-General, Mr Steven Chong Horng Siong, SC; the Senior Minister of State of the Ministry of Law and Ministry of Education, Ms Indranee Rajah; and the President of the Law Society of Singapore to exchange views of mutual interest.

     Mr Yuen will also hold discussions with the deans of the Faculty of Law, National University of Singapore and the School of Law, Singapore Management University.

     Also joining the visit will be the Deputy Solicitor General (General), Mr Peter Wong. Mr Yuen will return to Hong Kong in the evening of April 3.
