The Government announced today (March 28) the re-appointment of Dr Moses Cheng Mo-chi, as the Chairman of the Education Commission (EC) for a term of two years from May 1, 2013, to April 30, 2015.
Dr Cheng took up the chairmanship of the EC on May 1, 2009.
The Secretary for Education, Mr Eddie Ng Hak-kim, said, "We are grateful for Dr Cheng's visionary leadership, strong commitment and valuable contribution to the work of the EC.
"Under Dr Cheng's leadership, the EC has provided invaluable advice to the Government in taking forth major education initiatives including the implementation of the New Academic Structure. Dr Cheng's re-appointment as the EC Chairman will help ensure the continuity and effective implementation of various education initiatives to safeguard quality education for the betterment of our students."
