Kwai Chung Hospital spokesperson made the following announcement today (March 26):
Three patients (aged 41 to 61) of a male ward had presented with fever and respiratory symptoms since March 24. Appropriate viral tests were arranged for the concerned patients and the test results were confirmed positive to Influenza A. The patients are being treated under isolation and are in stable condition.
Admission and visiting to the concerned ward has been suspended. Infection control measures have already been stepped up according to established guidelines. All other patients in the ward are under close surveillance.
The cases have been reported to the Hospital Authority Head Office and the Centre for Health Protection for necessary follow-up.
