Multi-media dance collaboration with artists from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao in May
************************************************************

A collaborative multi-media dance and theatre production titled "Love Letters" will be staged at the Kwai Tsing Theatre in May. The show premiered in Guangdong in February and a performance in Macao will follow shortly after the Hong Kong date.

"Love Letters" is jointly presented by the Department of Culture of Guangdong Province, the Home Affairs Bureau of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region, and organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department.

Veteran choreographer Pun Siu-fai brings together an outstanding array of dance and cross-disciplinary artists from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao in a passionate dance and multimedia creation. With choreography from Mui Cheuk-yin and Ong Yong-lock from Hong Kong, Hu Xiao from Guangdong and Popeye Hong from Macao, original music composed by Li Tieqiao, dance artists from Guangdong Modern Dance Company, Dancer Studio Macao and a special guest appearance by Hong Kong's Cheng Tse-sing, "Love Letters" creates an ideal platform for the exchange of passion and dance.

Based on five letters exchanged over decades, "Love Letters" explores family, self-determination, love and introspection. From Act I's "A Letter from Father to Son", Act II's "Rite of Colours", Act III's "A First Love Letter", Act IV's "Love Forsaken" to Act V's "A Letter to My Father", the story is interwoven with the romantic music of Chopin, Ravel, Mahler and Gershwin.

"Love Letters" will be staged at 8pm on May 4 (Saturday) at the Auditorium, Kwai Tsing Theatre. Tickets priced at $220, $170 and $120 are now available at all URBTIX outlets, on the Internet and by telephone credit card booking.
