Police today (March 16) arrested two men aged 18 and 19 in suspected connection with a murder and wounding case in Pat Heung in the small hours of today in which a 50-year-old man was killed and his 39-year-old wife was seriously injured.
About 3.20am, Police received a report that a dispute case happened at a flat in Wing Ning Lei. Police sped to the scene and located two men and a woman with multiple chop wounds. The couple, in an unconscious state, were rushed to Pok Oi Hospital where the man was later certified dead at 4.51am. The woman has been transferred to Tuen Mun Hospital for further medical treatment. A 19-year-old man was also found injured and was sent to Tuen Mun Hospital.
Initial investigations found that the coupleˇ¦s 18-year-old son and his 19-year-old male friend attacked the couple with a knife. A 12-inch-long knife was seized at scene.
The two men were arrested for murder and wounding and are still being detained pending further enquiries.
Post-mortem examinations will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of death.
Investigations by District Crime Squad of Yuen Long are under way.
