******************************************************

Since its opening the "Andy Warhol: 15 Minutes Eternal" exhibition currently on show at the Hong Kong Museum of Art has received many accolades, and has come to be regarded as a not-to-be-missed event by art lovers. With thousands of visitors every day, the exhibition welcomed its 200,000th visitor at noon today (March 13).

The Director of the Leisure and Cultural Services, Mrs Betty Fung, and representative of the exhibition's lead sponsor, BNY Mellon, the Chairman of Asia Pacific, BNY Mellon, Mr Steve Lackey, were at the Hong Kong Museum of Art today to greet the 200,000th visitor and present a special souvenir pack to the visitor.

The exhibition, which opened on December 16 last year, has been well received by the public, attracting an average daily attendance of 2,700 visitors, and with a peak single-day attendance of 5,300 visitors.

Jointly presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and the Andy Warhol Museum, the exhibition has been organised by the Andy Warhol Museum in collaboration with the Hong Kong Museum of Art, with BNY Mellon as the lead sponsor. The exhibition is also supported by other sponsors including Christie's, the Economist, and Bloomberg as the media sponsor. The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust is the sponsor of the exhibition's art appreciation programme.

Regarded as Asia's largest touring exhibition on the works of Andy Warhol, the exhibition showcases more than 400 artworks from the Andy Warhol Museum. Spanning the period from the 1950s to the 1980s, these works, including paintings, drawings, photographs, screen prints, sculptures and films and videos, vividly depict Warhol's artistic life. Self-portraits, as well as portraits of celebrities taken by Warhol using a Polaroid camera, are also on display, offering visitors a golden opportunity to appreciate in one go the representative works created by Warhol at different stages of his life.

As the last day of the exhibition falls on March 31, those who love contemporary art or want to explore further the works of the "King of Pop Art" should grab the chance to visit the exhibition in the remaining 15 days.

The Hong Kong Museum of Art is located at 10 Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon. The opening hours for the "Andy Warhol: 15 Minutes Eternal" exhibition are from 10am to 8pm daily. The museum is closed on Thursdays (except public holidays). Admission to this exhibition is $20 on Monday, Tuesday and Friday to Sunday, and $10 on Wednesday. A half-price concession is available for full-time students, senior citizens and people with disabilities. Free admission is available for Museum Pass holders and children under 4 years.
