African violets enliven HK park
*******************************

The African violet, a popular indoor ornamental plant in Hong Kong, takes pride of place at the Hong Kong Park Forsgate Conservatory, in a special exhibit to introduce common and exotic species.

The African violet blooms all year long in Hong Kong's favourable environment, and is easy to propagate. More than 300 pots of this elegant plant are on show. Hong Kong Park's Deputy Manager (Greenhouse & Aviary) Kathy Chan highlights the special species and the growth habits of the African violet for news.gov.hk.

The story appears today (March 10) on the news.gov.hk website in both text and video format.
