Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in North Point tonight (March 9) in which a 68-year-old man died.
About 7.30pm, a taxi driven by a 46 year-old man was travelling along King¡¦s Road westbound. When approaching the junction with Oil Street, it reportedly knocked down the 68-year-old man who was crossing the road.
The pedestrian sustained serious head injuries and was rushed to Ruttonjee Hospital where he was certified dead at 7.53pm.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Hong Kong Island, are underway.
