The Education Bureau today (March 8) announced the re-appointment of Mr Jacob Tsang Chung as a member of the Quality Education Fund Investment Committee (QEFIC) for another term of two years with effect from March 11, 2013.
Mr Tsang is the Director of Group Treasury and has served the Committee since March 2009.
The Quality Education Fund was established in 1998 with a capital sum of $5 billion to fund community initiatives which promote quality education in Hong Kong. The QEFIC was set up to formulate policies for and to monitor the investment of the Fund.
Since its establishment, the Fund has supported over 8 200 projects with total grants amounting to about $4.0 billion.
