Transcript of remarks by CE at media session in Beijing (with photo/videos)
********************************************************

Following is the transcript of remarks by the Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, at a media session in Beijing today (March 6):

Reporter: Mr Leung, export control of two cans of milk formula doesn't seem to be very popular with some Mainlanders and some people in the legal sector. What would you do to allay concerns of these people? And also would you consider tightening and using other measures, for example tightening the multiple entry permit requirement for Mainlanders to curb the problem of parallel trading?

Chief Executive: First, we had tried various other measures before we decided on this route to limit the export of infant milk formula. Secondly, as to what we should do in the near future, we have actually been doing this in the last few days, and this is to step up our communication measures to make sure that all, including residents on the Mainland, understand the motives behind this, or the intent behind this piece of legislation, and also the content of legislation so that there is no misunderstanding.

(Please also refer to the Chinese portion of the transcript.)
