To enhance the public library service and promote reading, the loan quota for library materials for readers will be increased from tomorrow (March 1), a Leisure and Cultural Services Department spokesman announced today (February 28).
The loan quota for library materials for each registered reader will be increased from six to eight. The lending of back-issue periodicals will be increased from 12 to 16, and the quota for advance reservation of library materials will be increased from six to eight.
The increased loan quota will enable readers to borrow more library materials, and parents can have more choices when selecting items for their children for paired reading.
