Police reclassified a dead body found case in Yau Ma Tei on February 16 into a murder and arrested a 43-year-old man in suspected connection with the case in Chai Wan today (February 23).
At about 7am on February 16, Police received a report that a female body was found sucked into a catamaran engine when the vessel was off the Yau Ma Tei Typhoon Shelter.
Regional Crime Unit of Marine took over the case and confirmed the deceased was a 37-year-old woman upon investigation. Officers arrested her 43-year-old boy friend in Chai Wan in the small hours today. He will be detained overnight for further enquiries.
Active investigations by the Regional Crime Unit of Marine are underway.
