Fatal traffic accident in Ngau Tau Kok

      Police are investigating a traffic accident in Ngau Tau Kok this afternoon (February 21) in which a 21-year-old man died.

      About 5pm, a private car driven by a 21-year-old man was travelling along Kwun Tong Road towards Mong Kok. Upon reaching near Kai Yip Estate, the private car reportedly lost control and rammed into a lamp post.

      Sustaining serious head and chest injuries, the 21-year-old male driver was rushed to United Christian Hospital (UCH) in unconscious state where he was certified dead at 6.08pm.  A 17-year-old male passenger sustained head injuries and was sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) in unconscious state. Two male and one female passengers aged from 18 to 20 also sustained injuries and were sent to UCH in conscious state for medical treatment.

       Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Kowloon East are underway.
