Appeal for information on dead body found in Yau Ma Tei (with photos)

     Police today (February 21) appealed to the public for information on a dead body found in Yau Ma Tei on February 16.

     At about 7 am on that day, Police received a report that a female body was found sucked into a catamaran engine
when the vessel was off the Yau Ma Tei Typhoon Shelter.

     The deceased was believed to be a Chinese female aged about 30 to 40. She was about 1.48 metres tall and of medium build. She has long curly golden hair and a mole under her lower lip.

      She was naked when found with a piece of cloth wrapped around her body. No identity document was found on the body.

     Investigations are still on-going.

     Police urged anyone who knows the deceased or has any information to offer to contact the officers of Regional Crime Unit of Marine Region on 2803 6174 or 9380 3768.
