The Chief Secretary for Administration, Mrs Carrie Lam, this afternoon (February 13) visited grass-roots citizens in the Kwun Tong and Wong Tai Sin districts.
Accompanied by the Chief Executive of the Christian Family Service Centre, Mr Kwok Lit-tung, Mrs Lam started her visit to two low-income families in Kwun Tung. In addition to sharing in the festive joy, Mrs Lam learned more about their daily living through the exchange.
Mrs Lam then proceeded to the Ancillary Facilities Block in Tsz Ching Estate in Wong Tai Sin. Joined by Assistant Director of Social Welfare (Rehabilitation and Medical Social Services) Mr Lam Ka-tai, she visited an elderly singleton, Uncle Fook, and brought him festive greetings and gifts. Uncle Fook was an acquaintance of Mrs Lam's in her tenure as the Director of Social Welfare. Mrs Lam has been visiting him from time to time.
