Hongkong Post today (February 8) announced that, to celebrate the Spring Festival, a special stamp product - Heartwarming Stamps (2013 Version) "Year of the Snake" Mini-pane - will be released for sale at the General Post Office, Tsim Sha Tsui Post Office, Tsuen Wan Post Office, Sha Tin Central Post Office and Tuen Mun Central Post Office as well as via the Hongkong Post Internet Shopping Mall ShopThruPost (www.shopthrupost.hk) on February 21 (Thursday).
A set of two Heartwarming Stamps mini-panes features the design of the $1.40 and $3 stamps from the 2013 "Year of the Snake" special stamp issue. To enhance the festive spirit of the Lunar New Year, images of the Phalaenopsis orchid and the tree peony are imprinted on top of the two designs of the mini-panes respectively, and stamp tabs feature various flowers commonly available during the Chinese New Year, such as nipple fruit, daffodils, lily and peach. The Heartwarming Stamps bear "Local Mail Postage" or "Air Mail Postage" markings instead of value indicators.
