SFH on local supply of formula products
***************************************

Following is a transcript of remarks by the Secretary for Food and Health, Dr Ko Wing-man, after attending a television programme this morning (February 3):

Secretary for Food and Health: The government's hotline (for local parents to secure the purchase of infant milk formula) has been operating for nearly two days. Up to this moment, the total number of calls received is more than 3,800. Among these calls, some are for enquiries only and the total number of calls referred to the infant formula suppliers for further processing is around 2,000. We will continue to closely monitor the situation of the overall supply and functioning of the retail chain in the next few days, hopefully could ensure that all these families in Hong Kong will receive the formula products they need before the Lunar New Year.

(Please also refer to the Chinese portion of the transcript.)
