Police today (January 28) appealed to the public for information on a dead body found in Sai Kung on August 5 last year.
At about 9.05am on that day, Police received a report that a female body was found floating in the sea off Sai Kung Public Pier.
The deceased was believed to be an Asian female aged about 50. She was about 1.65 metres tall and of fat build. She has a round face with yellow complexion, and short black curly hair. She was wearing a purple polo shirt, a pair of deep blue jeans and a pink shoe on her left foot when being found. Two sets of prayer beads were found in her possession. No identity document was found on the body.
Initial investigations revealed no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.
Police urged anyone who knows the deceased or has any information about her next-of-kin to contact the officers of Miscellaneous Enquiries Sub-unit of Sai Kung Division on 2792 8621 or 2792 8617.
