A drug addiction treatment centre recall inmate died in public hospital

     A drug addiction treatment centre recall inmate died in a public hospital yesterday (January 26).

     The 30-year-old male inmate, who was arrested and sent to the public hospital by the Police, was handed over to the Correctional Services Department (CSD) at the public hospital on January 21.

     CSD has reported the case to the Police and the Coroner's Court for follow-up action.

     The inmate had been admitted to the Hei Ling Chau Addiction Treatment Centre for an offence of possession of dangerous drugs and was discharged under a supervision order last August.
