Police appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Ngau Tau Kok

     Police appealed for information on a fatal traffic accident this (January 27) morning in Ngau Tau Kok in which a 56-year-old man died.

     At about 7.35am, Police received a report that the man was found lying on the eastbound carriageway near 33 Wai Yip Street. Upon initial investigations, Police believed that the man fell from a flyover nearby and hit by a private car. After the accident, the private car left the scene.

     Sustaining serious head and right leg injuries, the man was sent to United Christian Hospital in unconscious state. He was certified dead at 8.07am.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East are underway.

     Anyone who may have witnessed the accident or has any information is urged to contact the investigating officers on 2305 7500 or 2305 7606.
