Police appeal for witnesses to fatal traffic accident in Kowloon City

     Police are appealing for witnesses to a fatal traffic accident in Kowloon City on January 12 in which a 45-year-old foreign woman died.

     At about 9.30am on that day, a private car driven by a 73-year-old man was travelling along northbound Prince Edward Road West. When reaching Pentland Street, it reportedly knocked down the 45-year-old foreign woman who was crossing the road.

     Sustaining severe injuries, the woman was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in unconscious state where she was later certified dead at 7.03pm on January 14.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West, are underway.
