The following is issued on behalf of the Yau Tsim Mong Road Safety Organising Committee:
People are invited to join the Yau Tsim Mong Road Safety Fun Day for free to enhance their understanding of the importance of road safety. It is to be held from 2.30pm to 5pm on Saturday (January 19) at Macpherson Playground, Mong Kok.
The ceremony of the fun day will start at 3.30pm. Apart from performances including a police marching band, an orchestra, Latin dance, Chinese boxing, musical instrument playing and a variety of other programmes, there will also be game booths and photo opportunities with a police motor scooter.
The event is organised by the Yau Tsim Mong Road Safety Organising Committee (the Committee) and sponsored by the Yau Tsim Mong District Council, with assistance from the Yau Tsim Mong District Office.
With a view to achieving zero accidents on the roads, the Committee has been organising different kinds of activities to enhance public awareness of road safety, and to remind pedestrians and drivers of the importance of road safety and compliance with traffic regulations.
