The Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service (BTS) urgently appeals to the public who are eligible for blood donation to give blood.
As a result of the recent lingering cold weather adversely affecting blood collection, coupled with a sharp increase in blood demand from hospitals, the current blood inventory is only sufficient for four or five days. The BTS earnestly urges the public to support replenishing blood stocks and stabilising the local supply of blood.
