The Government announced today (January 4) the re-appointment of Mr Chan Kam-lam and Mr Albert Ho Chun-yan, and the appointment of Mr Vincent Lo Hong-sui as Members of the Airport Authority for three years with effect from January 1, 2013. The appointments were gazetted today.
"Mr Chan and Mr Ho are Legislative Council Members, with rich experience in community work, while Mr Lo has expertise and a wealth of experience in the business sector, particularly the construction industry. They will surely provide invaluable advice on different aspects of the Authority's work," a Government spokesman said.
"The Government is most grateful to retiring member Dr Allan Wong for his contribution to the work of the Authority during his tenure. Dr Wong retired from the Authority on the expiry of his term on December 31, 2012," the spokesman added.
Under the Airport Authority Ordinance, the Chairman and Members of the Authority are appointed by the Chief Executive.
