Vacancy in Sha Tin District Council

The Government declared by notice in the Gazette today (January 4) the existence of a vacant elected seat in Sha Tin District Council (Tin Sum Constituency).
Following the resignation of elected member Mr Lau Kong-wah, the office has become vacant pursuant to section 26(b) of the District Councils Ordinance (Cap. 547).
The Registration and Electoral Office will arrange a by-election.
