Police arrest nine people for disorderly conduct in public place and unlawful assembly

In the operation conducted in Central last night (Jan 1), Police arrested nine persons, including eight males and one female, aged between 28 and 58, for disorderly conduct in public place and unlawful assembly. Investigation by Regional Crime Unit of Hong Kong Island Region is underway.
Police urge protestors to express their views in a rational and peaceful manner. Police will not tolerate any unlawful acts jeopardizing public order and public safety.
