Government's response to January 1 procession

     In response to the procession today (January 1), a Government spokesman reiterated that the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government fully respects people's rights to take part in processions and their freedom of expression and would listen to their views in a humble manner. The Chief Executive is concentrating on the preparation of his first Policy Address, working on various areas including people's livelihood and the economy, addressing deep-rooted problems in a pragmatic manner, improving people's livelihood and promoting harmony and stability in society.
