Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Wong Tai Sin this afternoon (December 31) in which an 81-year-old man was killed.
About 3.50pm, a light goods vehicle (LGV) driven by a 41-year-old man was travelling westbound of King Fuk Street. When turning right into Shung Ling Street, it reportedly knocked down the 81-year-old man who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious head injuries, the man was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in unconscious state and was later certified dead at 5.26pm.
The case has been handed over to the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East.
