Police are investigating a murder case in Chai Wan this afternoon (December 27) in which a 32-year-old man died.
At 12.20pm, Police received a report from a female staff of Social Welfare Department that a 40-year-old woman claiming that she attacked her 32-year-old boyfriend in a unit in Yue On House, Yue Wan Estate last night (December 26).
Police arrived at the scene and found the man, lying unconsciously in the living room of the unit. Sustaining injuries mainly to his head, he was certified dead at scene by ambulancemen. A hammer and a pair of scissors, in suspected connection with the case, were seized at scene.
The 40-year-old woman was arrested for murder and will be detained overnight for further enquiries.
A post-mortem examination will be conducted on the deceased to ascertain the cause of his death.
Active investigations by the District Crime Squad of Eastern District are under way.
