Award-winning musical "A Chorus Line" to be performed by Theatre Space
*********************************************************

Presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, Theatre Space's production of the award-winning musical "A Chorus Line" will be performed in February.

"A Chorus Line", a musical for everyone who has ever had a dream and put everything on the line, is the winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Musical. The original Broadway production ran for 6,137 performances, which today makes it the sixth longest-running Broadway show ever, and it was revived on Broadway in 2006. Among the local team, Music Director Stoa Lau and Stage and Costume Designer Bee Wan have won Best Sound Design and Best Lighting Design respectively in the Hong Kong Drama Awards.

The story revolves around a theatre director and his new production. On a bare stage, the director is casting for chorus roles in a new play. For this chance of a lifetime, a group of dancers perform what they have worked on for the chorus line. It is the one opportunity to do what they have always dreamed of. In the last round of the audition, the 17 dancers are told to tell stories of the sweetness and sorrow in their lives.

The main cast includes Gigi Yiu, Jacky Li, King Cho, Eric Huynh, Wendy Song, Rex Chiu, Margaret Cheung, Nikki Ng, Candy Lo, Angel Cheng, Billy Sy, Ivy Lau, Irene Cheng, Peter Chan, Jacky Kwong, Billy Yip, Crystofa Wong, Yuri Wong, Li Long-hin and others.
