New Territories North Animal Management Centre reopened

A spokesman for the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) said that the New Territories North Animal Management Centre in Sheung Shui will be reopened to the public today (December 18).
The centre has been temporarily closed to the public since November 27 due to an outbreak of Psittacosis.
The spokesman said thorough cleansing and disinfection has been conducted at the centre, adding that the environmental samples taken were tested negative for Psittacosis. AFCD has also reminded the staff to adopt appropriate measures to prevent infectious diseases.
