The Secretary for Security, Mr Lai Tung-kwok, visited Wong Tai Sin District today (December 13) to learn more about the latest developments there and meet with District Councillors and residents.
Mr Lai first visited Wong Tai Sin Square to learn about its proposed expansion and improvement. Next he proceeded to the works site of the Shatin to Central Link and the proposed Public Transport Interchange to get a better understanding of public transport planning in the district.
He then visited the Salvation Army Chuk Yuen centre to find out about the service provided for elderly people and youths. He also exchanged views with visitors to the centre.
Mr Lai also met with District Councillors, exchanged views on law and order matters and other community issues, and explained to them government policies related to security matters.
