Special arrangements for reserving Ad Hoc Quotas for Cross Boundary Private Cars in relation to long holiday
***********************************************************

The Transport Department (TD) today (December 13) announced that special arrangements will be implemented for reserving Ad Hoc Quotas for Cross Boundary Private Cars in relation to the suspension of operation of relevant Mainland government agencies during the 2013 Chinese New Year holidays.

"Relevant Mainland government agencies will suspend operation from February 9 to February 15, 2013 for the Chinese New Year holidays. To ensure sufficient time for applicants to complete the application procedures and other required formalities, the reservation service for Ad Hoc Quotas for Cross Boundary Private Cars will be adjusted accordingly for qualified vehicle owners to make advance reservation," said a TD spokesman.

Qualified vehicle owners interested in reserving quotas with start dates falling within the period from February 9 to March 15, 2013 may refer to the dates listed in the Annex for making advance reservations. Applicants are reminded that, as in normal application procedures, they will need to complete the formalities required by the Mainland at agencies in Hong Kong designated by the Mainland authorities upon approval of an application before departure.
