Hongkong Post today (December 11) announced that the 2012 Prestige Annual Stamp Album and the 2012 Annual Stamp Pack will be available for sale at the 37 philatelic offices and Postshop in the General Post Office, as well as through "ShopThruPost" - the Internet shopping mall at www.shopthrupost.hk - from December 18.
The 2012 Prestige Annual Stamp Album, at $538 each, presents a comprehensive collection of special/commemorative stamps, souvenir sheets and stamp sheetlets issued by Hongkong Post in 2012. The 2012 Annual Stamp Pack, at $198 each, contains all special/commemorative stamps issued by Hongkong Post during the year. These philatelic products capture a diversity of themes in reflection of the local culture, Chinese tradition and heritage, government service, art and natural life. The year 2012 carries special significance as it marks the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the 150th anniversary of stamp issuance in Hong Kong, occasions which have been celebrated by the issue of special stamps. The 2012 Prestige Annual Stamp Album and the 2012 Annual Stamp Pack, presented as albums of water colour paintings, will become treasured items for philatelists and make ideal gifts for friends and business purpose for the festive season.
