Police appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Kwun Tong

     Police today (December 4) appealed for information on a fatal traffic accident in Kwun Tong on November 27 in which a 76-year-old man was killed.

     At about 10.43am on November 27, a taxi driven by a 61-year-old man was travelling along the first lane of Hip Wo Street towards Kwun Tong Road. On reaching Yuet Wah Street, it reportedly knocked down a 76-year-old man who was crossing the road.

     Sustaining a head injury, the man was sent to United Christian Hospital and then transferred to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he was certified dead at 7.51am on November 29.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East, are underway.

     Anyone who might have witnessed the accident or has any information to offer is urged to contact the investigating officers on 2305 7571 or 2305 7500.
