The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (December 4) that due to repair or maintenance works, the following leisure and sports facilities will be temporarily closed:
(a) The soccer turf pitch at Tin Shui Wai Sports Ground will be temporarily closed for turf maintenance from December 15 to January 4. During this period, the public may use the soccer turf pitch at the nearby Yuen Long Stadium.
(b) The soccer turf pitch at Tai Po Sports Ground will be temporarily closed for turf maintenance from December 18 to 31. During this period, the public may use the Kwong Fuk Football Ground and Kwong Fuk Park Football Pitch in the same district, or the soccer turf pitch at North District Sports Ground in the district nearby.
(c) The soccer turf pitch at Tsing Yi Sports Ground will be temporarily closed for turf maintenance from December 20 to January 2. During this period, the public may use the soccer turf pitches at Kwai Chung Sports Ground and Wo Yi Hop Road Sports Ground in the same district.
The running tracks in the above sports grounds will remain open.
(d) The fitness room at Yeung Uk Road Sports Centre in Tsuen Wan District will be temporarily closed for replacement of the air conditioning system from December 18 to January 20. During this period, the public may use similar facilities at Wai Tsuen Sports Centre and Tsuen Wan West Sports Centre in the same district.
