The Police Recruitment Day cum Probationary Inspector Express 2012 organised by the Hong Kong Police Force today (December 2) at the Police Headquarters attracted about 1 700 applications.
The event provided one-stop service to applicants for the post of Probationary Inspector (PI), which included initial screening (height and weight measurement and eyesight test) and scheduling of written examination, and to applicants for the post of Recruit Police Constable (RPC) with initial screening and group interview.
There were also four experience-sharing sessions for applicants to enhance understanding of police work to better prepare themselves for the subsequent selection process.
The recruitment target for the financial year 2012-13 is 180 PIs and 890 RPCs. As at November 30, 99 PIs and 510 RPCs have been recruited.
