Appointments to Standing Commission on Civil Service Salaries and Conditions of Service

     The Government announced today (November 30) that the Chief Executive has accepted the resignation of Mr Barry Cheung Chun-yuen as a member of the Standing Commission on Civil Service Salaries and Conditions of Service and appointed Mr Joseph Lo Kin-ching as a new member for a term of two years with effect from January 1, 2013.

     Mr Cheung has served as a member of the Standing Commission since 2008. His resignation will take effect on January 1, 2013. The Government expresses gratitude for his valuable contribution to the Standing Commission during his five years of service.

     The Standing Commission advises the Government on principles and practices governing the pay and conditions of service of non-directorate civilian civil servants. It is currently under the chairmanship of Mr Wilfred Wong Ying-wai. Other serving members are Mr Owen Chan Shui-shing, Miss Elaine Chan Wing-yi, Dr Miranda Chung Chan Lai-foon, Mr Jeffrey Lam Kin-fung, Mr Pang Yiu-kai, Professor Suen Wing-chuen, Dr Carrie Willis Yau Sheung-mui and Mr Wilfred Wong Kam-pui.
