Basic Law Carnival 2012 to be held this Sunday

     The Basic Law Carnival 2012 organised by the Constitutional and Mainland Affairs Bureau will be held this Sunday (December 2) from 12.30pm to 5pm at the Sha Tin Town Hall Plaza with a view to enhancing the public's understanding of the Basic Law in a lively and interactive manner.

     Prize presentations for the Basic Law Mini Drama New Voice Appreciation Award, the Basic Law Souvenir Design Competition and the Basic Law Photo-taking Competition to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region will also be held.

     There will be game booths in the carnival. The public can learn more about the Basic Law through the games and have chances to get prizes. There will also be a Basic Law exhibition, which will introduce the background and implementation of the Basic Law.

     A number of artistes, including Andy Hui, Kay Tse, Nancy Sit, Janice M Vidal, FAMA and Joyce Cheng, will perform at the carnival. Admission is free of charge. All are welcome and souvenirs will be distributed.
