Woman arrested for murder

     Police arrested a 49-year-old woman in a hill slope near Tsz Ching Estate this morning (November 30). She was suspected to be in connection with a murder case in Wong Tai Sin in the small hours of today.

     About 0.15am, Police received a report from the woman alleging that she had earlier killed her 84-year-old husband at a unit in Ching Tai House, Tsz Ching Estate. The woman claimed that she made the call at a hill slope near Ching Tai House.

     Police sped to the scene and found the 84-year-old man lying unconsciously on a bed inside the unit. The man sustained multiple stab and cut wounds to his chest, shoulder and face. He was certified dead by ambulancemen at scene. A knife was seized at scene.

     The arrested woman was sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital and is being detained for further enquiries.

     A post-mortem examination will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of his death.

     Active investigations by the District Crime Squard of Wong Tai Sin District are underway.
