The Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service (BTS) appeals to people who are of the type O positive blood group to come forward as early as possible to donate blood. In the last two weeks it has been noted that the number of blood donations in Hong Kong has dropped significantly. To ensure adequate supply for the treatment of patients in hospitals we need some 100 type O positive people to give blood in the next few days, in addition to the regular daily requirement of 800 donations.
