The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, will leave for Sanya, Hainan, on November 30 in the morning to attend the Eighth Pan-Pearl River Delta Regional Co-operation and Development Forum and Trade Fair.
Mr Leung will have bilateral meetings with some of the provincial leaders upon arrival. He will attend a joint conference with leaders of the governments of the nine pan-Pearl River Delta provinces and the Macao Special Administrative Region on the following day.
Accompanying Mr Leung on the visit will be the Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Raymond Tam; the Director of the Chief Executive's Office, Mr Edward Yau; the Private Secretary to the Chief Executive, Mr Carlson Chan; the Information Coordinator, Ms June Teng; and the Senior Special Assistant to the Chief Executive, Mr Chan Kin-ping.
The Chief Executive will return to Hong Kong in the afternoon on December 1. During his absence, the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mrs Carrie Lam, will be the acting Chief Executive.
