Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Tin Sum last night (November 21) in which a 36¡Vyear-old man died.
At about 9.30pm, a light goods vehicle driven by the 36-year-old man was travelling along Tsing Sha Highway towards Sha Tin. When approaching near the toll plaza of Eagle¡¦s Nest Tunnel, it reportedly rammed into a toll booth and caught fire.
After the impact, the driver was trapped inside the car compartment and was rescued by firemen. He was certified dead at scene.
Investigations will be conducted by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South.
