Police are investigating a traffic accident in Sau Mau Ping this morning (November 19) in which a 63-year-old man died.
At about 7.01am, a motorcycle driven by a 43-year-old man was travelling along the west bound of New Clear Water Bay Road. When approaching the junction with Clear Water Bay Road, it reportedly knocked down the 63-year-old man who was crossing the road.
Sustaining head and leg injuries, the man was rushed to United Christian Hospital (UCH) in unconscious state and was certified dead at 1.06pm. The motorcyclist was also injured and was sent to UCH for medical treatment in conscious state.
The case will be handed over to the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East.
