Police are investigating a traffic accident in Sai Kung today (November 16) in which an 83-year-old man died.
About 7.50am, a public light bus (PLB) driven by a 66-year-old man was travelling along Hiram¡¦s Highway towards Sai Kung. When approaching Pak Sha Wan, it reportedly knocked down the 83-year-old man who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious head injuries, the man was rushed to Tseung Kwan O Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 8.37am.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East are underway.
Police urged anyone who witnessed the accident or has any information to offer to contact the investigating officers at 2305 7500.
