Police will implement special traffic arrangements to facilitate a ceremony for the Remembrance Day to be held at the Cenotaph of Statue Square in Central on Sunday (November 11).
I. Road closure
The following roads will be closed between 7am and mid-night:
(a) A section of Chater Road between Pedder Street and Jackson Road; and
(b) A section of Ice House Street between Des Voeux Road Central and Connaught Road Central.
The following roads will be closed between 9am and noon:
(a) A section of westbound Chater Road between Murray Road and Jackson Road;
(b) A section of Chater Road between Jackson Road and Club Street; and
(c) Jackson Road.
A section of westbound Connaught Road Central between Harcourt Road and Pedder Street will be closed during the two minutes' silence starting 11am.
II. Traffic diversion
(a) Traffic along Lambeth Walk will be diverted to Murray Road; and traffic along Club Street and unnamed slip road next to AIA Central must turn left to eastbound Chater Road between 9am and noon; and
(b) Traffic along westbound Harcourt Road will be diverted to southbound Cotton Tree Drive flyover during the two minutes' silence at 11am.
III. Suspension of bus stops
Bus stops on westbound Connaught Road Central near the Cenotaph will be suspended from 10am to noon.
