CE accepted Franklin Lam's request for leave of absence

Mr Franklin Lam, Non-official Member of the Executive Council, yesterday (November 2) requested the Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, to grant him a leave of absence. The Chief Executive has accepted Mr Lam's request.
During his absence, Mr Lam will not attend the meetings and briefings of the Executive Council and the Government will cease sending him relevant documents.
The Government reiterated that there is no way Mr Lam could know in advance the measures on stamp duties announced on October 26.
